Upper St. Clair Holds Ceremony to Honor Veterans

The sun was shining for Upper St. Clair's 11th annual Veterans Day Observance in USC Veterans Park. The Township of Upper St. Clair, the Upper St. Clair School District and community members teamed up to honor local veterans of all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces. U.S. Air Force veteran Brian Schill was a lead coordinator the event and served as the master of ceremonies.

The ceremony opened with a invocation from Father Jon Brzek, from Saint Catherine Laboure Parish.  Pennsylvania state. Sen. Devlin Robinson, 37th District, served as the keynote speaker. He is a US. Marine Corps veteran and spoke about how he was inspired by his grandfather, who was also a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.

Don Taylor played graciously played taps for the event and the Fort Couch Middle School Band and Chanteclairs performed beautifully during the ceremony.

The event ended with the singing of, "God Bless America" and a photo opportunity with veterans in attendance. Upper St. Clair thanks you for your service!
