At 7 a.m. on March 9, PennDOT's contractor is scheduled to create a single lane of traffic on McLaughlin Run Road coming from Bridgeville to Upper St. Clair. This phase is scheduled to last until the end of April 2022. Traffic will continue to be controlled by four temporary signals.
Crews will complete the arch culvert construction and begin a new phase of the project on McLaughlin Run Road.
The $4.67 million project is converting the signalized McLaughlin Run Road and McMillan Road/Lesnett Road intersection into a free-flowing single-lane roundabout. The work includes the replacement of the existing bridge structure carrying Lesnett Road over McLaughlin Run with a precast concrete arch structure and a second bridge replacement along McMillan Road between McLaughlin Run Road and Woodlands Circle. PennDOT hopes to complete the project in the fall of 2022.
